Motorcycle Shipping Agreement

This Agreement outlines the terms and conditions under which OAA Off-Road Adventure Academy (“OAA”) facilitates access to a third-party motorcycle transport service. By requesting a quote and/or proceeding with motorcycle shipping, the Client (“Rider”) acknowledges and agrees to the following:

1. Role of OAA
OAA acts solely as a facilitator and promoter of motorcycle transport services provided by an independent third-party motorcycle shipping company (“Carrier”).
OAA does not operate, manage, or control the transportation of motorcycles.
Any issue, delay, loss, damage, claim, or dispute arising from the transportation service shall be dealt with directly with the Carrier, although claims may be initiated through OAA as outlined below.
2. Quote Requirements and Validity
To obtain a shipping quote, the Rider must provide:

Legal full name

Valid email address

Valid phone number
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and are subject to availability and Carrier confirmation.
3. Insurance Coverage

Insurance coverage applies only to exterior/body damage or complete loss of the motorcycle.

Insurance does not cover accessories, luggage, panniers, top cases, duffle bags, or any items that are not an integral part of the motorcycle.

Claims are submitted through OAA, but are processed and adjudicated by the Carrier.
Although the Carrier documents motorcycles with photographs at both pick-up and delivery, Riders are strongly advised to independently document the motorcycle condition at drop-off and pick-up.
4. Damage Claims

Any damage claim must be identified and reported before the motorcycle leaves the delivery facility.

Once the motorcycle has departed the depot, no damage claims will be honored.
5. Cancellation Policy
-
Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to scheduled drop-off incur no penalty.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of drop-off will incur a $400 cancellation fee.
6. Drop-Off Requirements
At drop-off, the Rider must provide:

A copy of the motorcycle registration

A copy of valid insurance

Motorcycle keys
Additional requirements:

Panniers and/or top cases must be firmly secured to the motorcycle.

One (1) duffle bag, maximum 60 litres, may be securely strapped to the motorcycle seat.

Any loss or damage to luggage or non-integral items is not insured.

No flammable liquids (including camping fuel) are permitted on the motorcycle.
7. Pick-Up Requirements

The motorcycle must be collected by the Owner or an authorized third party.

If a third party is collecting the motorcycle, the Owner must provide:

Written authorization
-
A copy of the authorized person’s government-issued ID

8. Payment Terms
-
Payment is due upon receipt of invoice.

Accepted payment methods:
-
E-transfer
-
Credit card (3% administrative fee applies)
-
No motorcycle will be released if there are outstanding or pending invoices.
Riders are advised to ensure payment is completed to avoid disruption to travel plans or schedules.
9. Tracking Devices
For security reasons, transport trucks are equipped with signal-jamming systems.
Personal GPS or tracking devices may display inaccurate locations or appear off-route during transit. This does not indicate loss or deviation from the planned shipment.
10. Limitation of Liability
OAA assumes no liability for transportation delays, damages, losses, or disputes related to the Carrier’s services beyond facilitating communication and claim initiation.
11. Acceptance
By proceeding with a quote, booking, or shipment, the Rider confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement.
